Virtual PoC

Univa offers prospective UniCluster users the opportunity to run a Virtual Proof of Concept (Virtual PoC) on a cloud or hardware based cluster.

With a Virtual PoC, you can try your software on a running UniCluster HPC cluster environment without an actual onsite install.

A Virtual PoC covers:

  • Installing and configuring UniCluster
  • Using, migrating to, or adopting Sun Grid Engine (SGE)
  • Tuning SGE to your applications' needs
  • Monitoring and managing a UniCluster system
  • Adding, configuring, and removing software from UniCluster
  • Comprehensive management of the HPC lifecycle

While each Virtual PoC is a custom engagement tailored for the customer's individual needs, in general a Virtual PoC is typically a week-long program, during which you will have full access to your test cluster. Most Virtual PoC program includes multiple teleconferences as well as daily communications with Univa HPC experts to learn about and discuss your needs and requirements, develop your technical qualification criteria, and solve your technical problems in real time.
