Reliance Features:

Detailed Reporting

Reporting

Because Reliance retains essential performance and SLA information, it serves as the authoritative data source from which you can verify your SLA, or tell you where application weak spots are. The library of pre-built reports also enables trend analysis of both applications and infrastructure components to aid in planning for future needs.

How It Works

Reliance makes available detailed application and device performance metrics for any time period based on a library of criteria. Reliance tracks when applications consumed the most and the least resources, as well as the performance that the application delivered for a selected timeframe.

Because Reliance persists data feeds from infrastructure software such as EMC Smarts, Reliance also includes 3rd-party-specific reports including subscription-based inventory, availability, health and performance events – both real time and historical.

For any given period of time, Reliance knows how many resources an application is consuming as well as how well the application was performing with those resources. Reliance also knows what configuration changes were invoked and what SLA drove that change. By knowing what resources were applied to a specific application and how well an application was simultaneously performing, data centers not only know how much value they are providing, but also at what cost.

Not only is Reliance able to track application performance, but the product also tracks when SLA rules have been changed and who updated them. And because application owners often have multiple SLA’s, Reliance also tracks when different SLA’s were active for a specific time frame.

Why It Matters

The ability to provide reports that demonstrate the applications you are managing met agreed-to performance commitments is just as important and meeting those commitments. Reports provide the tangible content for historical views of application and infrastructure performance, as well as analysis of the current state. Also, understanding application usage and resource trends enables data center teams to plan ahead for future resource commitments.

Reliance provides the content for the data center owner to strategize how to solve current problems or to plan for the future – and Reliance also provides the means to effectively communicate between all stakeholders, both technical and business.
